Repair Terms & Conditions

  • All prices shown are starting estimates for typical jobs. Your exact price is confirmed for free after we inspect your device, before any work begins.
  • We use genuine Apple parts where available, or clearly disclosed OEM-grade alternatives.
  • Repairs are subject to parts availability: less common models may take longer if a part needs to be sourced.
  • Screen, battery and camera repairs don't require wiping your device. Logic board, water damage and some software repairs may require a reset. We'll always tell you beforehand.
  • Every repair carries a 90-day warranty covering the specific issue we fixed. It doesn't cover new physical or liquid damage after the repair.
  • If we find additional damage beyond your original complaint during diagnostics, we'll quote it separately before proceeding. We never repair beyond what you've approved.
  • Please back up your device beforehand where possible. See "Get Your Device Ready" above.

Repair FAQ

Is my data safe during a repair? +
Yes. Screen, battery, and camera repairs don't require wiping your device. For software or data recovery work, we'll always explain what's involved before starting, and recommend backing up beforehand wherever possible.
Do I need an appointment? +
No, walk in anytime during opening hours at Wilson One Building, Shop WD13, Wilson Street, Kampala. If you'd rather confirm we have your part in stock first (especially for less common models), message us on WhatsApp before coming in.
How long does a repair take? +
Screen and battery replacements are usually done the same day. Water damage, Face ID and motherboard repairs take longer, usually 1 to 5 days depending on the fault and whether we need to order a part. We'll give you a timeframe when we quote.
What if my device won't turn on at all? +
Bring it in anyway, free diagnostics cover this too. Common causes range from a drained battery or faulty charging port to water damage or a logic board issue, and we'll tell you which it is before quoting any repair.
Can you unlock an iPhone that's iCloud locked? +
Only for the phone's owner, and only the proper way. If you've forgotten your Apple ID password we'll help you recover it through Apple. If you have the original receipt, Apple can remove Activation Lock for you, and we can help you send that request. If you bought the phone second-hand and it's still on the seller's account, the seller has to remove it. We don't bypass Activation Lock.
What's covered by the 90-day repair warranty? +
If the specific issue we repaired recurs within 90 days, we fix it again at no charge. Keep your repair receipt as proof. It's your reference for any warranty claim.

What the grades actually mean

What each grade actually means.

Excellent

Looks close to new. No marks on the screen and at most a faint scuff on the frame that you have to hunt for. Usually a device that lived its whole life in a case.

Good

Light, honest wear. Fine scratches on the screen that disappear when it is on, and some scuffing or a small dent on the frame. Nothing that affects how it works.

Fair

Clearly used and priced for it. Visible scratches, chips or worn edges. The electronics are held to exactly the same standard as every other grade, only the cosmetics are cheaper.

Buying pre-owned, answered

Is the warranty the same as on a new device? +
Pre-owned devices carry a six-month AppleXtreme warranty rather than Apple's own cover. It is handled by us, here in Kampala, so you bring the device to Wilson Street rather than shipping it anywhere. It covers faults, not accidental damage.
Why does each listing show only one device? +
Because a used phone is not a model, it is a specific handset with its own history. The battery figure, the scratches and the photos on each listing belong to that exact unit. When someone buys it, the listing goes.
Can I see the device before I pay? +
Yes. Come to the shop and we will hand it to you, unlocked, so you can check the battery figure in Settings and look it over yourself before anything changes hands.
Are these iCloud locked or stolen? +
No. Every device is checked for activation lock and wiped to a clean install before it is listed. We do not buy or sell a device we cannot account for.

Outside Uganda

How much does delivery cost? +
It depends on where you are and the size of the order. Kampala orders over UGX 500,000 are delivered free. For anything else, message us your area on WhatsApp and we confirm the exact fee before you pay anything.
How fast will it arrive? +
Order before noon and it reaches you the same day in Kampala and Wakiso. Upcountry towns such as Jinja, Mbarara, Gulu, Mbale and Fort Portal usually take 24 to 48 hours by courier.
Can I pay cash when it arrives? +
Yes, in Kampala and Wakiso you can pay on delivery after you have checked the item. For upcountry and outside Uganda we ask for payment before dispatch, by MTN MoMo, Airtel Money or bank transfer.
Can someone else receive it for me? +
Yes. Give us their full name and phone number when you order. They should have their ID with them and check the item before signing for it.

Can you send power banks and batteries? +
Usually yes, but some couriers limit lithium batteries, especially on flights. We confirm the route before you pay so there are no surprises.
What if my order arrives damaged or something is missing? +
Take photos of the parcel before you open it and film the unboxing. Message us the same day with your order number, the photos and the video, and keep the box and packaging. Please do not try to repair or return the item yourself first.
How do I track my delivery? +
Once your order ships we send your order ID on WhatsApp. Enter it on the Track Your Order page any time to see where it is, and we send the rider or courier details as soon as it leaves the shop. Track your order
How do I know a message is really from AppleXtreme? +
Prices and payment details only come from our official WhatsApp number and phone lines shown on this site. We will never ask for your Apple ID password, your iCloud password or an SMS code.

Official AppleXtreme Store warranty policy

By purchasing from AppleXtreme Store, you agree to the warranty terms outlined below.

1. Warranty Coverage Period

2. Proof of Purchase Required

The warranty is valid only when the original sales invoice or receipt showing the date of purchase is presented together with the defective product. No warranty claims will be processed without valid proof of purchase.

3. General Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, or improper handling.

4. Warranty Will Not Apply If:

  • ✕The product's serial number has been altered, removed, deleted, or made unreadable
  • ✕Any modification or upgrade beyond the product's intended use as described in the instruction manual
  • ✕The product is not used according to the provided instructions
  • ✕Repairs carried out without prior authorisation from AppleXtreme Store
  • ✕Damage from accidents, lightning, water, fire, or other causes beyond our control
  • ✕Battery damage due to overcharging or undercharging

5. Refund Policy

No cash refunds will be issued once full payment has been made.

6. Exchange Policy

In the case of an exchange, if no similar product is available in stock, the customer will be required to wait one (1) to two (2) months for a replacement to be sourced.

7. Testing at Point of Purchase

All items are tested and approved in the presence of the customer at the time of purchase. Customers are advised to thoroughly inspect their product before leaving the store or accepting delivery.

8. Right to Refuse Warranty Service

AppleXtreme Store reserves the right to refuse free warranty service if any of the above conditions are found to have been violated upon inspection of the product.

Please read before booking a device in for repair or service.

By booking a device in for repair or service, in-store or via our online quote form, you agree to these terms.

1. Ownership & Authorisation

By handing in a device for repair or service, you confirm that you are the owner of the device, or that you have the owner's permission to submit it for repair and to agree to these terms on their behalf.

2. Back Up Your Data First

  • !You are responsible for backing up all data on your device before handing it in
  • !Some repairs, including most screen replacements, may erase all data as part of the repair process
  • !AppleXtreme Store is not liable for any loss of data, contacts, photos, or files during a repair
  • ✓Please remove any SIM card, memory card, or other removable media before drop-off

3. Disable Find My iPhone & Screen Lock

Please turn off Find My iPhone / Activation Lock and remove any passcode or screen lock before booking your device in. We may not be able to accept, diagnose, or return a device with these still active, as it can prevent us from completing hardware repairs safely.

4. Device Condition at Drop-Off

The condition of your device, including any existing damage, is noted when you hand it in. It's your responsibility to point out any pre-existing issues at that time, as it may otherwise be difficult to establish afterward whether damage was pre-existing.

5. Quotes & Estimates

  • ✓Any price shown before physical inspection is an estimate only
  • ✓The final quote is confirmed after diagnosis and may change if additional parts or work are required
  • ✓Quotes are valid for 7 days
  • !We will not begin repair work until you've approved the quote. Approval given in person, by WhatsApp, or by SMS is accepted

6. Devices with Liquid or Physical Damage

If your device already has liquid or physical damage, opening it for diagnosis carries a risk that it cannot be returned in full working order, even if you decide not to proceed with the repair. The same applies to cracked screens or glass, which can break further during disassembly. AppleXtreme Store is not liable for this additional damage where it results from the device's pre-existing condition.

7. Third-Party Accessories

Screen protectors, cases, and similar accessories may need to be removed and can be damaged during the repair process. AppleXtreme Store is not liable for replacing these.

8. Parts & Repair Warranty

All repairs carried out by AppleXtreme Store are covered by a 90-day repair warranty on the specific part replaced and the work performed, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. This warranty does not cover new or unrelated damage, liquid damage, or issues caused by misuse after collection.

9. Collection of Your Device

  • ✓Please collect your device within 14 days of being notified that the repair is complete
  • !Devices not collected within 30 days of completion may be treated as abandoned and disposed of, without further liability to AppleXtreme Store
  • ✓Full payment is required before your device is released

10. Our Liability

AppleXtreme Store's liability in connection with any repair is limited to the cost of that repair. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of data or loss of business.

11. Your Personal Data

To carry out your repair, we collect and use personal information such as your name, phone number, and device details, mainly to keep you updated on your repair and to arrange collection. We handle this information in line with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, and do not share it beyond what's needed to complete your repair.

12. Changes & Governing Law

These terms may be updated from time to time; the version in force when you book your device applies. They are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.

These Terms govern all sales and transactions conducted by AppleXtreme Store, located at Wilson One Building, Shop WD13, Wilson Street, Kampala, Uganda. AppleXtreme Store is an independent Apple reseller and is not affiliated with Apple Inc.

2. Product Authenticity

  • ✓All products sold are 100% genuine, brand new, and sealed in original Apple packaging
  • ✓All items tested and approved in the presence of the customer at time of purchase
  • ✓Serial numbers must not be tampered with. Doing so voids all warranty and exchange rights

3. Pricing & Payment

  • ✓All prices are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) and subject to change without notice
  • ✓Payment accepted via MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, bank transfer, or cash
  • ✓Full payment required before delivery or collection
  • !No cash refunds will be issued once full payment has been made

4. Warranty

  • ✓Hardware covered for two (2) weeks from date of purchase
  • ✓Software covered for six (6) months from date of purchase
  • ✓Warranty valid only with original receipt presented alongside the defective product
  • !Warranty void if serial number altered, unauthorised repairs performed, or product misused

5. Exchanges & Returns

  • !No cash refunds, exchanges only, subject to warranty terms
  • ✓If no similar product in stock, customer waits 1-2 months for replacement
  • ✓Original receipt must be presented for any exchange request

6. Repairs

  • ✓Repairs must be authorised by AppleXtreme Store
  • !Not liable for data loss during repairs, so back up your device beforehand
  • ✓Uncollected devices after 30 days may be disposed of without further liability

7. Limitation of Liability

AppleXtreme Store's liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including data loss or loss of business.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then referred to the courts of Uganda.
